Honestly, Georgie insisted that I put the tutu on him. This wasn't something I initated in any sense...I promise. But, nonetheless, he really enjoyed the "princess dancing" with Avery and Abi...should I worry?

My Favorite Room in the House
The Play Room. I LOVE this room. It's the room in our house where we make-believe, read stories, cook pretend meals, and learn the Alphabet. We make messes and try to teach the good habits of cleaning those messes-up...sometimes we don't make much progress. We laugh, we cry, we fall and we get up. We sing, we dance, we play with friends and we live some of the best of life in our play room. At the end of each day, it makes me smile to see the messes made by my favorite little people. I LOVE the play-room.

Our Temple's Crowning Piece
The golden Angel Moroni was placed at the the top of our Daybreak Temple today. I got a phone call from my mom informing me of the event. I quickly headed over to the temple and meet up with my mom, her neighbor (Liz) and my friend (Emily & her kids). We were prepared with snacks, water and chairs. It made the whole experience pleasant, since we were there almost 2 hours. The winds were so strong that they almost postponed the event. At last, the Angel Moroni was lifted off the ground and placed on the steeple facing east just before noon. The kids had a great time, not really understand the significance of such an event. I am so grateful to have been there and even got a bit emotional, thinking of the joy the pioneers might have had as they placed the Angel Moroni on the temples that they sacfricied so much for. I am thrilled to have a temple so close to my home and smile everytime I drive past it. I even purposely plan my driving routes so I can pass the temple and watch the progress made daily. Such a wonderful blessing in my life!

A First for Us...
George pooped in the tub. We had never experienced the poop-in-tub with Avery. I guess she has much more control over those matters. But, tonight we had our "first" experience with little George. Luckily, Tim had already gotten Avery out of the tub when George decided to let loose. I think it's my fault for two different reasons. First, I fed George too many cherries last night and he's had the runs today. Second, Tim had asked me to get George out a few minutes earlier, however, I was busy vaccuming. Fortunately for me Tim drew the short straw and got clean-up duty -he usually gets the short straw! I hope this first is also our last, here's to hoping!

Georgie's 1st Haircut
So, my attempt to have Uncle Davey give George his first haircut at my hair appointment last week - failed. Avery was too sick to come and I wasn't about to have George there the whole time without Tim. So, I went with plan B...I would cut it. As we were getting ready for our 4th of July festivities, I just decided to go for it, since I had some time on my hands. It worked out well and looks much better than it did before. What do you think? Before Pictures
I'm concentrating very hard...can you tell! hee hee!
Whalaa...so cute! The new duo!
Just a little trim for Avery too!

Backyard Camping Adventure
We kicked off the 4th of July weekend at the McDermott's with a Hot Dog roast and a backyard camping adventure! We started the evening off with running through the sprinklers and setting up the kids pool. We roasted Hot Dogs over the grill and enjoyed a smorgasboard of food. We played games, enjoyed the sun setting and made smores (it was one of the most pleasant evening we have had for a long time, weather wise). When it was time for bed, Avery and Ashty got to share a tent and had it all to themselves. I slept inside with George (he tends to do better in a room all by himself) and Tim headed home to his own comfy bed (he was sick all weekend-poor guy). Avery thought it was the best thing ever, to have a sleepover with Ashty outside in the tent. What a super lucky girl!
Avery got a hold of the camera...her new favorite thing!

Grandma Sycamore...you better watch out!
...cause, here I come!!
Okay, really she has nothing to worry about, but I'm pretty proud of it. Today, I baked homemade wheat bread ALL by MYSELF! And...it even tastes delicious! How do I know this you might ask? Well, I had several taste testers on hand; even the most important people to please in my life, all enjoyed several slices! I LOVE the smell of homemade bread! I got to enjoy the scent everytime I walked into the house, it smelled of the yummy, fresh, warm homemade bread! Just thinking of it makes my mouth water! :)
Well, I guess if I did it once I can do it again. At least that is my goal. We just bought 500 pounds of wheat and I need to start using it in someway. So here's to Homemade Bread weekly!

FINALLY!
Our air conditioner is FIXED! Hip, Hip, Hooray!! On Friday night when Tim and I returned home from our date the house was a roasting 78 degrees. We spent Saturday, Sunday and most of Monday with our house tempertaure ranging from 78 to 90 degrees. It threw our whole weekend off, as we tried to come-up with things to do and places to go to keep us cool. We tried to make an adventure out of it by having a big slumber party in our basement, watching movies and enjoying too many treats (I turned to comfort foods in my misery and probably gained 5 pounds over the weekend). But, alas we have cool air once again and I am sooo, sooo very
grateful! Are we spoiled or what!

Old MacDonald had a Farm
At least that is what Avery used to call "Wheeler Farm". In fact, she even thought the head farmer (pictured above), was "Old MacDonald" himself on one of her first visits. I can't blame her; I would almost have to agree that he is what I would imagine "Old MacDonald" should look like.
Okay, so randomly I woke-up and decided I was going to take the kids to Wheeler Farm. We ate, dressed and got in the car. I was determined to get there before it was too hot to enjoy. We had a great day just the three of us! George was enthralled as he pointed with excitement and practiced his animal sounds. He is such an animal lover and the animal of the day was...the ducks(and geese). Georgie would say "Duh-kie" as he pointed his two fingers in peacesign-like and ran after them in every direction. Simply entertained. Avery enjoyed seeing all the animals from Charlotte's Web. We even saw Templeton. She kept asking me if the animals could talk. I finally told her "only if you listen very carefully" and she then replied, "Mom, animals can't talk". Silly Mom!
Avery was helping me keep tabs on George, such a good little helper!
Actually, she was begging to "hold Georgie's tale", so I finally let her and was able to snap a few cute pictures with my hands free.
The highlight of the day was feeding the geese and ducks! After we had used up all the bread I brought, I bought Avery and George their own little brown bag of wheat. They had a blast! As you can see, this is how we roll, double time in our little black stroller! hee hee!!
It was all well worth my impulsive moment in decision making. We all had a fantastic Mommy & Kids day! Avery keeps asking when we are going to do it again...
