Audrey Jane

We welcomed Audrey Jane Peterson into our family on Saturday, October 24th at 9:21 a.m. She weighed 9lbs, 5oz and was 21 inches.
I went natural (no meds) for the first time and felt like a super "rock Star" after I found out how much she weighed. It was an awesome experience and I would totally do it again. I also was so excited to finally have an "Amber" baby...one that actually looks like me! She has dark hair and features and looks exactly like my baby pictures...I love it and I am smitten...she is beautiful!
Not knowing what we were having made the delivery experience extra awesome! Tim got to announce the gender to me and I couldn't have been happier (I secretly wanted a girl!). Avery was thrilled as well and keep saying, "thank you SOOO much for having a girl". When Avery found out, she threw her arms in the air yelling "YES, YES!"

We are all in heaven and loving every moment as a family of five!

A Terrific Day!

Today started off with the purchase of this...

The Blendtec Blender...I have wanted a blender like this for over a year and had to do some convicing Tim, that it really was worth every cent of it's expensive price tag...after one try and a few utube videos...Tim is SOLD!

Next, we had a picnic in the park and feed the ducks! My kids had a blast and I worried the whole time that they were going to fall in to the water, as they enjoyed getting close to the edge. We all left with tummies full and clothes all dry!

Then, we came home, meet Tim and headed to the Carnival across the street from our home at the Daybreak Elementry school! We had a blast and the best part was a friend of ours was leaving early and gave us all her left over tickets...timing couldn't have been better!

Finally, we headed out and dropped by the AT&T store to get our new iPhones!! Which I am totally in love with...it has changed my world!

Yeah, for a totally terrific day!

Dance Recital

Avery had her dance recital today. She did awesome and loved every moment. She didn't love the make-up, it kept making her itch her face and smearing her lipstick all over her face. I reapplied it maybe 10 times. I'll post some pictures soon...

Bye, Bye Binkie

Today Tim cut the end off of George's binkie (he called it his "BeBe"). We told G his teeth were to strong and sharp (like a shark) and that they bit a whole in his binkie...poor kid, he was devestated and tried desperately to fix his binkie with some small tools. It broke my heart. It may have been slightly harder for me, than G.

The Official Announcement

of Baby #3...due October 19th.

Hello, hello...is this thing on?

Apparently NOT!

Okay, Okay...I admit I am truly a slacker, but trust me I have very good reasons.
1st -I have had "Morning Sickness" since February...yes we are expecting baby #3 in October...more to come soon regarding this subject. However, I am feeling much better these days -thank goodness.
I have several more reasons, but I think that one is good enough for now. Hopefully, I am motivated to download some pictures from our recent vacation to southern Cali and document the absolutely wonderful time we experienced together. I wish I were still there...
Signing off...more to come...

I am NOT complaining though, it's a huge BLESSING that he is so busy and we are just making it work...so things like my blog, get put on the back burner. I am slowly figuring out a new routine and hoping to find some much need blog time in it...wish me LUCK!

Okay, p.s. this is what I was really going to blog about...I will be on Studio 5 (KSL Channel 5) this coming Wed. January 28th at 11:00 am...LIVE! They are featuring the BIBBIE!! So exciting...for Dilly Dally!! I am freakin' out about what to WEAR??? and how to do my HAIR!!! Silly me...

On Saturday we celebrated George's 2nd Birthday! He had a Race Car themed birthday and FINALLY got some "boy" toys to play with...trucks, cars, race tracks, and more trucks! He's been in heaven ever since. He was quite clinging to me the whole evening. He's not a fan of crowds...but he still had fun!The highlight of the evening was when George wanted NOTHING to do with the candles on his cake...for some reason he is scared of fire...and I'm okay with that. Poor, Poor America...

...whatcha gonna do, things look bad for you, say whatcha gonna do? (to the tune of "Poor, Poor Joseph" from the play Joseph and The Amazing Techincolor Dreamcoat). This is the song that kept replaying in my mind as BO was announced the winner...poor, poor America!

I hope you all have your food storage & 72 hour kits...it's all down hill from here.

I VOTED for John McCain & Sarah Palin...

...the ONLY candidates that make any sense, the ONLY candidates that will make the RIGHT changes for our Country, and the ONLY candidates...well, I'll save my "Political Soap Box" for tomorrow. Tonight, I want to send out all my postive vibes for the Republican party! Let's here it for McCain & Palin!!!

Do Your Part - VOTE!

Today is Election Day. I urge you to do your part by voting and encouraging your friends and neighbors to vote as well. I feel very strongly that all Americans should value their right to VOTE! Here is a letter I came across in an email forward that I would like to share with you:

Dear Fellow Americans,
I write to those who want to change the world. When I grew up it seemed nearly almost every child wanted to change the world. My friends wanted to be teachers, astronauts, movie stars, sports heroes, veterinarians, nurses, and even one aspired to be president of the United States.
And then we grew up and forgot our call to make a difference. Today we often feel overloaded by the infusion of daily demands in our technology-driven world. Perhaps we may think, "I am just one. How can I make a difference?" Unfortunately, this sort of thinking means we have surrendered to the status quo.
Freedom is not for the status quo. The early American colonists were not satisfied with the status quo when they revolted against British rule. Under their courage and conviction the United States of America has become the free nation we live in today.
The American colonists understood what we have now forgotten: it only takes one to make a difference. One act of kindness, one move toward freedom or one vote can change the world. Yes, even one vote. Voting is one way in which we can change the world, or at least one nation. And yet if the actions of one can enable change, how much greater is the ability to enact change through the voice, actions, and votes of many.
We've heard it before -- perhaps as repetitively as our morning alarm clock -- that voting is our right, our patriotic duty. Yet we have apathetically pushed the snooze button on our right and duty to vote. To those who have resisted the snooze button, who have raised their voice, put their lives on the line, and stood against a field of opposing views to stand up for one's beliefs, I salute you.
The price to vote, to speak out, to be an American is not free. It is very expensive. We should not forget the many men, women, and children who have gone to battle for our freedoms, especially the right to vote.
Sadly, we live in an age in which the act of voting has slipped from its place of prominence. It is no longer considered an honor and privilege.
Instead, we are annoyed by the constant campaign ads that in terrupt our television programs or by campaign mailers that fill our mailboxes. We have become immune and apathetic about voting and what it means to our country.
Freedom is not free, nor is it cheap. Voting is not an inconvenience; it's a privilege. Voting is the very least we can do in defense of freedom. We have a right and an obligation to vote. Some will declare the lack of voting is a right, but I say abstaining from voting is an act of ignorance and precludes your voice from being heard in the American symphony that cries for freedom and liberty. This is your call to change the world. Start by voting on November 4.

Sincerely,

Stan Lockhart

The Witches

Today we (my friends Crystal & Melissa and all our kids) headed to Gardner's Village to visit the witches, take some pictures, pet the animals, take a pony ride and have some lunch. It was the most pleasant day! The weather was perfect and not much of a crowd. The kids had a great time running around and trying not to get too close to the witches (they were still a little hesitant, even though they were intrigued). George cried ALOT whenever I took him out of the stroller. Except when we got to the petting zoo, I couldn't get him back in the stroller...funny kid.
I LOVE this picture of Avery...she's so CUTE!!
Sad little George. Cute girls!

Sleepover Party

Lastnight, we had Chase & Ashton over for a sleepover party! It was alot of FUN! After we picked them up, we stopped at a pumpkin patch. They all picked out a pumpkin. Tim and I pushed them around in wheel barrels and took pictures of them on the tractors. They had a blast! We stopped at Carl's Jr. for some dinner and let the kids run around in the play area. As I watched them play, I thought...huh...this is what it is like to have 4 kids...I could do this...I think! Then we headed home, got jammies on and popped some popcorn. Tim got the beds ready and put a movie on...it was a great time for all! Avery keeps wanting to know when her cousins can sleepover again...

Tim is SUPER DAD & UNCLE!!! He got up made breakfast, helped the kids carve the pumpkins, got them lunch and dressed, cleaned up and took the Chase & Ashton home...all while I was enjoying myself at Super Saturday and working on the finishing touches for our Halloween costumes!

A Perfect S'mores

Lastnight, we had our annual Hot Dog Roast with my family (the McDermott's). We headed up Big Cottonwood Canyon and settled at Dogwood. The weather was absolutely PERFECT, the colorful leaves painted a nice back drop for our evening (fall leaves are my favorite!) and the kids had a BLAST! Infact, right before we were going to leave, Avery asked where we were going to be sleeping. She was prepared to stay all night and then some. Avery & George loved the fire and Avery was such a big girl roasting her stuff all by herself. The kiddos LOVED throwing rocks in the stream and eating deliciously roasted marshmallows!
I enjoyed the evening snaping photos, watching the kids play and eating a perfectly roasted hot dog & toasted bun...and then the highlight of the evening -a "PERFECT S'MORES"...made especially for me, by my very own chef Timmy! Thank you Tim, you are AMAZING and my very own IRON CHEF! I love you!

My Little Green Goodness

I never leave home without my little tin of green goodness (aka...Burt's Bees Res-Q Ointment). I LOVE this "all natural" ointment and I use it for EVERYTHING! On the tin it reads, "For all of life's discomforts, naturally soothes skin...". So, some of the things I use my "gg" on are: cuts, bumps, bruises, burns, bites, stings, scrapes, rashes...and my newest favorite...ZITS! It is the BEST zit ointment I have ever found for my skin...and I LOVE that it is made with all natural ingredients, instead of all those chemicals in your typical acne ointment. My "green goodness" has even cleared up overnight those BIG-painful "undergrounders" (as Tim refers to them). Ohhh...all the great things you can do with a little green goodness...

I Just Had To...

...turn on the Christmas music today! I love, love, LOVE christmas music!! It's another one of my FAVs for this time of the year. It is also my ritual for the first snowfall. Once I start, I really don't stop until mid-January. So here's to snow, christmas music and a return to wonderful fall weather...at least until Halloween, then bring on the snow!

Welcome Fall

Awww...Fall. My most favorite time of the year is FINALLY here. Yesterday, as I was out and about I couldn't keep myself from completely LOVING the day. It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I'd go as far as to call it a PERFECT "fall" day! I also spent most of my day doing one of my most favorite "fall" things to do -I canned tomatoes with my mom. I love, love, LOVE the smell of canned tomatoes. I grew up looking forward to the smell that would await me as I hurried home from school on canning days. The pure fresh smell of cooked tomatoes...I know I'm weird, but nonetheless...it's still one of my favorites.
A few other "fall" favorties are pumpkins, zuccihini bread, bike rides, football, jackets & sweaters, fires, leaves...any of you that know me well, know how much I LOVE leaves. Ohhh, and how I love the sound of crunching leaves under my shoes. Actually, I have been know to chase a few dried leaves blown by the wind, so I could get the satisfaction of a good crunch. Much satisfaction. I also love to pull out my fall decor out in September and of course, add to it every year (my current favorite color is burnt orange...perfect for fall decor). My favorite "fall" activities include, but are not limited to: morning walks, hot dog roast in the canyons, Oktoberfest, Wheeler Farm, Gardner Village, the Zoo, Thanksgiving Pointe, halloween parties and feeding the ducks at the lake. There are just so many things to love about Fall.
So, I gladly welcome you Fall. Please stay as long as you'd like.

Taking the Bibbies to Market

We are home at last! Wow, what a whirl wind the past 3 weeks have been preparing for the ABC Kids Expo and then leaving Tim and the kids for a WHOLE week! I sure missed them. I am so glad to be home! The ABC Kids Expo was so great. We had several orders placed, connected with media and had lots of international interest for distributors. It was really a fantastic week. So many great things have already come from this experience. We have been so blessed. My favorite part was the last day when everyone is selling all their samples and inventorty for wholesale! I probably spent too much, but could have spent more if only we would have had more room in the car...lol! We pulled an all nighter drive home. I got home around 2:30 a.m. Friday morning and proceeded to sleep most of Friday. I am feeling much better today and it's a good thing. I have a ton of catching up to do...especially with my blog!

Elder Rusty is HOME!

Today we welcomed home my little bro. Elder Rusty from his mission in the Utica, New York Mission. The kids were excited as you can see. Actually, this was George's first time meeting Rusty and Avery was only 16 months when he left on his mission, however, Avery does remember Rusty (she has an incredible memory). He was suppose to come in at 2pm, but due to delays he got in at 6pm. It was wonderful to greet Rusty and have him safely home.If you look closely, you can see the detail on the shirts I made for Avery & George to wear. Rusty loved them...everyone got a good laugh.

Rusty sure missed his little Avery and informed us of that every time we got to talk with him. He has been looking forward to this moment for 2 years! Can you feel the love?

This is my absolutely FAVORITE picture from the day. My two brothers that like to joke about being gay and now I have proof. It looks like that are about to kiss (really they are going in for a hug). We all had a huge laugh about this picture. I even laugh so hard, I had tears streaming down my face. Here's to you Joe (another inside joke).

Welcome Home Rusty and good luck with the next few weeks entering back into the world.

A Night at the County Fair

Lastnight, we took the kids to the Salt Lake County Fair. My parents meet up with us shortly after we got there. We had a fantastic evening. The rain and cloud cover made it nice, cool and very enjoyable. The kids couldn't get enough of the rides and animals. Later that night we were all able to watch the fireworks from the window in George's room. Fun times and great memories! I wish you could have all seen how EXCITED George was to be surrounded by all the little animals. He loved, loved, loved the Petting Zoo!
